Happy New Year! John and I just returned from a few weeks away - our "babymoon" if you will. We spent a wonderful 5 days canoeing on the Rio Grande at Big Bend National Park with my sister Lisa and her boyfriend Larry. What a beautiful place and a great way to spend the new year. After a few days in Austin checking out Lisa and Larry's new house, we headed to Mazatlan Mexico with some of my family. After 4 days swimming in the ocean, sailing and relaxing, we returned to Belgrade, MT to start our final grad school semester. All in all a wonderful trip.
And it's good to be back! Here are a couple pics from our trip, plus the newest belly pic. Baby Rugs did well on the trip, and a couple of days ago I felt the fluttering that is the baby - pretty cool to start to feel the baby as a separate being. we have our 5 month ultrasound on Monday, and will post another update after that. This belly pic is from today, 20 weeks and counting! And I cut my hair short today - I decided I miss having my short hair, and wow does it feel good!

OMG, your hair! I've always loved it short. Good for you. Thanks again for coming to Austin and for a wonderful vacation. I cherish the QT with you two. Good luck with the ultrasound - I'll be checking the blog...

You look fabulous!! "Babymoons" should be mandatory--what a rockin' plan. I chopped my hair too this week--thought of your back porch in G-field when I did it too. LOVE to you and Johnny!
